The Wedding Reception
A-Night 2 Remember can also, if requested, provide music for your ceremony. We come to your wedding 2 hours ahead of time to setup the DJ Equipment and meet with the Banquet Hall staff and go over "Your Details" When is the first dance? What time is dinner being served? What time is cake cutting? Once our Professional DJ Sound System is setup, we change into Tuxedo, standard for all weddings. When you arrive to the wedding reception we line the wedding party up outside and can make "Formal Introductions" Then "The First Dance", The "Father Daughter Dance", and then "The Mother Son Dance", This format and can be customized for "Your Special Day". While your guests are arriving and begin mingling, this may be a good time for photographs. We also, with your approval, may take photo's, which may be placed on our website. After the first 3 dances, we can play a light variety of back ground music for you and your guests to relax to while you enjoy your dinner. Then when dinner is over we can get the dancing started with a few party songs, such as "Celebration" and "We Are Family". We play a variety of music from Big Band to some of today's hottest dance hits.
About half an hour after dancing has started it's time to cut the cake. We have special songs for the cake cutting, such as "We've Only Just Begun" by the Carpenters, and many more. We can take requests from your guests with your approval. Then comes the time for tossing of the Garter and Bouquet. We will work with the photographer throughout your wedding reception to make sure that you get all those special photos. We can play participation songs like "The Electric Slide", "YMCA", and many more. Please keep in mind that the dinner will run about one hour, and if we are providing ceremony music that normally runs about 1/2 hour, and for a 4 hour event that will give you about 2 1/2 hours of dancing time. So if you want to get a lot of dancing time we suggest that you request 5 hours of our DJ Service. At the end of the evening we ask that you sign off on the receipt, and we take down and pack up our equipment within one hour after the reception is over.
